National Gardens Week Sweeps Baton Rouge with a Little Help from LSU

Situated on the campus of Louisiana State University, Burden Museum and Gardens offers 440 acres of green space located in the heart of Baton Rouge. It consists of the LSU AgCenter Botanic Gardens, Windrush Gardens and the Rural Life Museum.

Join us and hundreds of gardens across the United States for National Public Gardens Week!

Activities for all ages will be themed around the importance of our environment. Educational sessions will take place in the Ione E. Burden Conference Center. Local organizations will provide information on plants. The event is free and open to the public. National Public Gardens Week is a program supported by American Public Gardens Association.

The American Public Gardens Association is the leading professional organization for the field of public horticulture. We advance the field by encouraging best practices, offering educational and networking opportunities, and advocating on behalf of our members, our programs and public gardens worldwide.

The Mission of the Botanic Gardens is to promote the importance of plants and their environment to the physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing of the citizens of Baton Rouge, the state of Louisiana and the world. We hope that you join us for National Public Garden Week!

At Creekside Crossing Apartments in Walker, Louisiana, we love mixing up on-site events with those happening in our greater area. Be sure to pencil this one into your busy schedule!
